Annotation | The problem of numerical analysis of the stress-strain state of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) in lateral occlusion, solved by the finite element method (FEM), is considered. The mandibular joint is an important element of masticatory function and articulation, the study of its mechanical properties is of key importance for understanding the pathophysiology of diseases, developing individualized approaches to prevention and treatment, as well as the development of orthopedic and dental implants. Mathematical modeling makes it possible to predict the behavior of a joint under load. A finite element model of the human mandible is presented, on the basis of which the calculation and analysis of the principal stresses during lateral occlusion is carried out. |
