AnnotationThe article presents the results of a study of a distributed model of the spread of a hypothetical infectious disease, the dynamics of infection of which is determined by the generalization of the Gompertz’s law. This study was conducted for various time dependencies for the rate of spread of the disease. Self-similar solutions for the case of a constant rate of spread of the disease are also obtained in the work.
Keywordsmethod of characteristics, Lagrangian coordinate, Eulerian coordinate, traveling wave, one-hump distribution, two-hump distribution.
