AnnotationLow-temperature steam conversion of light alkanes is considered as a promising method for preparing associated petroleum gas for further transportation and use as fuel. The work presents a kinetic model of the process, the formulation of direct and inverse chemical-kinetics problems, and the identification of kinetic parameters from experimental data obtained for a Rh–Cu catalyst. The numerical solution combines implicit methods for stiff systems with parallel computations on CPU and GPU.
