AnnotationThe article presents a mathematical model and a computational algorithm for an unsteady process in a catalyst layer, taking into account the grains shape. The explicit-implicit computational algorithm is based on the splitting by physical processes. The algorithm has been studied for convergence and stability. It has been tested on tasks with a known analytical solution. The adequacy of the mathematical model is verified by comparison with experimental data. Using the developed model and algorithm, the experimentally observed efficiency of the dynamic mode of an unsteady process is illustrated.
Keywordsunsteady processes, computational algorithm, dynamic mode.
